We take on the Kassensturz test: We show how the ofinto Ergo would have fared in the Kassensturz office chair comparison.
In the show from March 16, 2021, Kassensturz tested eight office chairs for their suitability for working from home. Kassensturz selected the products for the test back in 2020, when we were still putting the finishing touches to our products. Unfortunately, this meant that the ofinto products could not be considered by Kassensturz.

The ofinto Ergo in a self-test: How would our office chair have fared at the checkout?
In the test for the best ergonomic chair for the home office, Kassensturz examined eight different models. Four criteria were tested:
In the following, we will apply each of these criteria to our ofinto Ergo.
Test criterion 1: Robustness
The first Kassensturz test examined the robustness of the chairs. We also regularly carry out the toughest load tests on our ofinto office swivel chairs to ensure maximum durability. The test is based on criteria similar to those used by Kassensturz: We test the seat surface 260,000 times with a weight of 130 kg. The backrest has to withstand a load of 32 kg 20,000 times. We also test the abrasion resistance of the fabric cover and the stability of the armrests.

Even after tens of thousands of loads, the ofinto Ergo remains as robust and stable as on the first day!
Test criterion 2: Safety
In a second round of tests, Kassensturz examined the safety of office chairs. The focus here was particularly on the castors. Castors that are too hard can scratch the floor. If the castors are too soft, on the other hand, they wear out too much and the rolling sensation is poor. Conventional office chair manufacturers often use nylon castors (the castor on the left in the picture). These castors are cheap to manufacture, but are very hard and cause rolling noises and scratches on the floor.
We at ofinto have therefore decided against cheap nylon castors. Our chairs use high-quality polyurethane castors (PU castors; the castor on the right in the picture). The modern PU castors are not only quieter, but also have the ideal hardness: they do not cause scratches on hard floors and still ensure the rolling sensation even on carpets.

Test criterion 3: Seating comfort

Test criterion 4: Simple assembly
As the final test criterion in the office chair test, the experts from Kassensturz assessed the ease of assembly and the clarity of the operating instructions.
