This project aims to capture the highly potent greenhouse gas methane, which occurs in agriculture, and use it for sustainable energy production. Innovative small biogas plants thus help farmers to make an active contribution to climate protection and at the same time contribute to decentralized energy supply and security in their region.

This project in the canton of Schwyz in Switzerland ensures CO2 storage and the sustainable management of 7,279 hectares of forest. The project contributions guarantee that the forest density is increased and that older and thicker trees with particularly high storage capacity can grow.
